Research for plazaPOPS funded by a Partner-Engage SSHRC grant, in partnership with the City of Toronto and the University of Guelph’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development.
WexPOPS, the plazaPOPS pilot, was funded by the Public Space Incubator, a program of Park People funded by Ken and Eti Greenberg and the Balsam Foundation, as well as a City of Toronto BIA Innovation Grant. WexPOPS was built on a partnership with the Wexford Heights BIA, Scarborough Arts, and the University of Guelph’s School of Environmental Design and Rural Development. The City of Toronto’s Transportation Services provided support through consultation and the installation of bike parking along Lawrence Ave East at our site.
